Catch the Light in a Glass. Original oil painting.
I was fascinated by the refraction of light in this highball glass, and a grisaille followed by glazing proved to be the way to capture it. Strong downlighting and multiple layers of glaze give a lovely three-dimensional effect.
July 2024. Grisaille method.
Painted on aluminium composite panel (ACM), 30cm x 24cm /12” x 9".
