This was based on a photo I took while leaning out of a window above what seemed like a hundred-metre drop, in Ronda in Southern Spain. Must have been all of thirty years ago. It was a hazy day, with the sun behind and to the right of us, and the valley receding in the distance.
This piece started with a blockin, followed by some detail, and finished with some glazing to bring up the colours in the brickwork and foliage.
